Guest Musician Brett McDonald Visits @kettmus from "42nd Street" Tour
Special guest musician Brett McDonald paid a visit to the Fairmont Performing Arts Center this morning. Mr. McDonald is in Dayton this week performing in the touring company of "42nd Street" at the Schuster Center. He is a woodwind specialist performing on Saxophone and Flute. Mr. McDonald shared information with our students about his career path as a professional musician, his college experiences, playing in Broadway shows, etc. He also performed for the students and sat in with the Wind Symphony flute section during a short rehearsal.

KettMus Alum Caitlin Crabill to Perform with Sarasota Opera
Soprano Caitlin Crabill (FHS Class of ‘08, Symphonic Chorale, Eleventh Hour) was selected as Apprentice Artist with Sarasota Opera during their January-March 2017 festival season. She will take part in productions of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites, and Montemezzi's L'amore dei tre re
Caitlin completed her masters at Oklahoma City University in 2016 where she appeared in the title role of Puccini’s Suor Angelica and as First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

JE Prass Students Sing All Around Town!
Mrs. Lokai's 4th grade class from Prass Elementary recently performed holiday music for the Noon Optimists Club at the Presidential Banquet Center. Colleen Badenhop organized the singing and said the students looked great in their new "Kettering Music" holiday shirts!
Students from JE Prass also performed in the Kettering Music Holiday Community Concert on Monday evening at Trent Arena. Congratulations to all the students and teachers involved in representing Kettering Music and JE Prass!
