The Kettering Fairmont Choral Department is a place where students learn about the artistry and mechanics of music through singing. The current enrollment is approximately 160 singers in three curricular choirs, Men’s Chorus and Symphonic Chorale, directed by Brody McDonald, and Womens Chorus directed by Matt Koehler. There are two extra-curricular a cappella ensembles, Eleventh Hour and Fusion.  All of these groups represent differing levels of vocal ability and styles.

Singers participate in a wide variety of performance experiences. There are numerous school concerts throughout the year, as well as outside opportunities. These include Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District Honors Choir, OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest, as well as festivals and clinics presented by area colleges and organizations. The extra-curricular groups also participate in various competitions held thought-out the year, as well as play host to the Fairmont A Cappella Festival. We also enjoy the excellent support of the Choral Boosters, made up of dedicated parents and choir alumni.
