On March 4, 2018, thirteen Kettering elementary students from JFK and OV performed with the Ohio Music Education Association District Xll Honors Choir. The choir was made up of students across the Miami Valley who have demonstrated exceptional vocal ability. Students worked hard to learn the challenging choral music heard at their performance.

Student participants included from JFK - Airess Martin, Carlee Deckers, Isa Machado, Jacob McNeilis, Adryan Adkins, Riley Brandt, Penny Goodson, Parker Corpus, and Ben Richter - and from Oakview - Isabella Olow, Kayla Weller, Josiah Hall, and Hank Burt

Special thanks to JFK music specialist Sarah Smith, who is supported by principal Monica Butcher, and Oakview music specialist CJ Roden, who is suported by principal Aaron Smith for their extra efforts to provide great musical experiences for our Firebirds!
