The Marching Firebirds recently competed in the OSU Buckeye Invitational and the Loveland High School Invitational. Performing in “the shoe” at OSU was a great experience in front of a huge crowd. The band performed in the OMEA sponosored competition with 44 bands and finished overall in 5th place, and 3rd overall in Music!
On October 5th the band took their “And I Think To Myself…” show on the road to Loveland High School for another OMEA-sponsored event. At Loveland the band swept the awards for music, visual, percussion, color guard, and general effect, as well as being named overall “Grand Champions!”
Congratulations to all band members, directors, boosters, and staff!
The Marching Firebirds will play host to 13 visiting bands and the Miami Valley Adaptive Color Guard at Fairmont’s Roush Stadium on October 19th. The Kettering Classic Competition will begin at 4pm and the host Marching Firebirds will take the field at 8:30pm.
